ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 4, 2000
start magazine has named Fisher-Rosemount Systems, a division of Emerson Electric Co. (NYSE:EMR), to its "Hottest Companies of 2000" list. This is the third consecutive year that Fisher-Rosemount Systems has been recognized by the magazine for technological advancement and continuous product improvement.
"We are proud that start magazine has again recognized us for our achievements in delivering technology solutions to the manufacturing industry," said John M. Berra, Emerson Electric senior vice president and president of the Fisher-Rosemount group of companies. "Our technology sets us apart as a 'hot company' because of its capability to provide superior automation solutions though our DeltaV(TM) technology and its adaptability in meeting the demands of a diverse set of industries."
Fisher-Rosemount is among 24 companies selected from a field of 180 entries for the award, and is one of only six companies to receive the award since its inception. Since 1998, start, a technology-oriented magazine for manufacturing and engineering executives, has recognized companies for excellence in technological progress and product quality.
"We're pleased that the editors of start magazine continue to place Fisher-Rosemount Systems among the 'Hottest Companies of 2000,'" said Thomas W. Snead, president of Fisher-Rosemount Systems. "Since we launched our DeltaV(TM) automation system, we've added more capacity and functionality in a shorter time than any other automation system ever. As a result, manufacturers around the world have benefited from lower project cost and better plant performance."
