FED:Divided coalition can save Labor: Abbott
CANBERRA, Feb 22 AAP - Opposition Leader Tony Abbott has read the riot act to his federal
coalition colleagues, saying two of his frontbenchers had gone too far in their comments
on immigration last week.
Liberal parliamentary secretary Senator Cory Bernardi told a radio station last week
that: "Islam itself is the problem - it's not Muslims."
He added that: "Islam is a totalitarian, political and religious ideology."
Opposition immigration spokesman Scott Morrison gave a qualified apology a day after
he publicly questioned the taxpayer …
